Wholesome Plant-Based Food
Several years ago, our family started on a healthier living journey. After one of our parents was diagnosed with cardiac issues, she knew it was time for something different. In her mid 70’s at the time, she realized that exercise and portion control was just not working. Numerous diets had been tried and failed until she came upon a plant-based diet with limited oils and no animal products. In just months she reduced her weight and cholesterol levels to unbelievable lows. After years of plant-based eating, she continues to maintain a healthy weight with no statins or medication.
One of the drawbacks of plant-based diets is having to give up many foods that we all enjoy. The food is just not being produced in a healthy way. Cheeses, milk, ice cream, salad dressing, sauces all contained animal products that are not good for us. Even most vegan foods are still produced with excessive oil, sugar and fat. Karri began working on substitutes that were NOT animal-based and after years of trial, the recipes have been perfected to replace or even improve the animal-based products.
Our friends and family realized the change in us and wanted to try what we were doing. We had them over and they enjoyed all our meals, cheeses and sauces. This has been one of the most satisfying businesses to grow because we are bringing healthy products to many and improving their lives.
